Stronger Body, Clearer Mind, Happier Life—Physician-Led Coaching for Busy, High-Pressure Lives
Dr. Homer, a Florida-licensed, dual-board certified physician* practicing in Boca Raton since 2002, helps patients achieve sustainable lifestyle changes through a holistic, integrated approach to wellness. His practice is rooted in the biopsychosocial model of health, a framework that recognizes the complex interactions between biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental well-being and overall health.
He currently focuses on two key clinical areas: Sports & Performance Psychiatry and Weight Loss. His practice supports overall health via an emphasis on optimal mental health.
Dr. Homer emphasizes the powerful connection between body and mind, noting that regular exercise is widely understood to help reduce depression and stress, enhance sleep quality, support cognitive health, and aid in fall prevention to maintain independence.
To further support lifestyle goals beyond the medical realm, Dr. Homer leverages advanced training in fitness and behavior change. He is an NCCA-certified ACE Health Coach and an NCCA-certified NASM Personal Trainer, providing expert guidance on physical activity and healthy choices.
Dr. Homer thus helps busy adults and athletes of all ages and skill levels build a healthier mindset to power a healthier, happier mind & body—reducing stress and burnout, easing anxiety and mild depression, and taming overeating, when needed. When appropriate, he prescribes and manages psychotropic and anti-obesity medications, while educating on state-of-the-art tools and connecting clients to vetted local resources such as gyms, personal trainers, health spas, and hormonal treatment partners.

I started my journey in this venture with a simple goal: to better help people live healthier, happier lives through providing motivation and coaching. I found that standard medical treatment prescribing medication and recommending "diet and exercise" was not sufficient for helping many people. Psychotropic medications often help with depression, anxiety, and insomnia but often are inadequate and have side effects. Adding anti-obesity meds to the mix clearly helps with weight loss, but also almost always is accompanied by significant muscle loss and rapid weight regain if someone is not regularly exercising and eating properly. I have been a licensed physician since 2000 and practicing in Boca Raton since 2002.
